Let's start at the very beginning

Our very existence comes about by means of our parents who conceived us and bring us into the world.

And so it is appropriate that I start my heritage album with my parents... my beautiful, gracious mother, Freda Catherine Jones and my handsome, sporty father, Dudley Leo Rogers.

And the day they got married on 1 November 1947, is the day my family started.

I wanted to keep my layout clean and simple with just a little bit of shabby chic lace and a small cluster of flower embellishments.  I really wanted to showcase these lovely photos of my young parents and did not want to crowd my layout with too much distracting embellishments.  Had to restrain myself somewhat ... but I really love this page.

Update on "My Heritage"Page

I have just set up a new page on my blog called "My Heritage". I thought this might be a good place to keep my Heritage Scrapbooking layouts together.  These layouts are very special to me, so I wanted to keep them together in one place on my blog.  So feel free to check on this page from time to time.

Update on my BW2 June challenge

Oh, how awesome!  Just checked the Black With Two blog and saw that I was the winner of the June layout challenge.  Loved doing this challenge and it is even special because I got to do this wedding layout of us.  And thanks to my hubby for photographing the page - you did a great job!  Now you've got yourself a job as my layout photographer LOL!
