Well, I guess I'll kick of my blog with a little peek into my life and world. So....
Who's who:
I am an early 60's baby, born in Kimberley in South Africa and had a fantastic childhood in this hot and dusty small town. I have 3 brothers, 2 are still living in South Africa and my youngest brother lives in the United States. My dad passed away 21 years ago... My mum unfortunately had a rather bad stroke last year and is now in a rest home.
I married my darling husband 28 years ago. We do not have children, but did not let this get us down and have a wonderful life together. Edwin is my soulmate and best friend and we have so much fun together.
What.... makes me tick:
Life is a journey, it has its ups and down, good times and bad times. I have travelled on its golden highways as well as the terrible rocky roads... But life has been good to me... and good to us as a couple. When I look back over my life I see fun, and laughter and happiness. These good vibes completely overshadow all of the low times.
I have a full time job as an accountant... and I do love my job. But all that number-crunching needs to be completely balanced with creativity. So I am a passionate scrapbooker which is now my number 1 hobby. But I also enjoy cross-stitching, and have dabbled in amateur drama. And to keep active, I enjoying walking.

I also share hobbies with my hubby and we enjoy motorcyclingand amateur radio activities together. And we have had lots of fun doing these activities together.
Where, oh where art thou:
We left South Africa in November 2008 to settle in New Zealand. We now live in Auckland and love our new life here. Auckland is a beautiful city and the amazing SkyTower and stunning skyline never ceases to take my breathe away.
Settling into our new country has not been without stressful challenges but I have not regretted our decision for a minute. We have settled into a simple but happy lifestyle. And I have certainly found that I have much more time to enjoy my scrapbooking. I have joined several online scrapbooking forums and have had tremendous fun playing with challenges and learning new techniques.
So onwards and upwards!
